What French law asks every published site to say, and what this site does with your data.

Your data
No cookies, and nothing is stored in your browser, with two exceptions. One is a private preview link, which sets a single cookie to open pages that are still closed. The other comes only after a yes on a visit from one of our ads: then this site and Google set cookies, as described below. The site counts page views as daily totals: the page, the country, phone or computer, the kind of site you came from, and which link led here. No address and no identifier is kept with them. Sign-ups, trials, presses of the buy button and orders are counted too, by day and by link. Downloads are counted as bare daily totals: the installer for each system, and each start of a sound library download from inside hetki. Nothing else is kept with them, not even the link, apart from whether an installer download looked like it came from a person or a program. If you join the list, start a trial or buy, the link that brought you is kept with that record, and for an order it is passed to Stripe as well.
The waiting list keeps your address until you unsubscribe, held by the site's host and the email service, both in the United States. It is used for release news and updates to hetki, nothing else. Every email carries an unsubscribe link.
Visits from our ads on YouTube or Google. If you arrive from one of these ads, the site asks whether Google may measure your visits here. Only if you say yes, for 90 days: a small cookie (hetki_gads) remembers the yes, and Google's tag runs on the page the ad opened and on the trial and download pages. The tag sets Google's cookies on this site (their names start with _gcl_, 90 days) and may read and set Google's own cookies on Google's domains (up to 13 months in the EEA and the UK, up to 2 years elsewhere). It sends Google the ad click id, the address of those pages, your IP address and browser details, and whether you reached the trial or the download page. We use this only to see which ads lead people to try hetki, and ad personalisation stays off. This rests on your consent. LK MUSIC decides to use the tag and is responsible, with Google, for collecting the data here. Google is responsible on its own for what it does with it afterwards: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, if you are in the EEA or Switzerland, and Google LLC, Mountain View, California, United States, elsewhere. Google may handle the data in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. How Google uses it, and how to use your rights with Google: business.safety.google/privacy and Google's privacy policy. Say no, or do not answer, and nothing is stored or sent. A yes can be taken back at any time, as easily as it was given: stop Google measuring my visits here. That removes this site's cookie and Google's cookies on this site at once. Google's cookies on its own domains are no longer read from here and expire on their own.
A trial keeps your address, a folded key for it, the licence and the date, for as long as hetki is sold, so that one inbox gets one trial. It is used for the licence and for update emails. Deleting on request keeps only the key.
A free licence, given to a reviewer, a writer or a creator, keeps the name and address it is made out to, the licence, the date and the link that goes with it, for as long as hetki is sold. It is used for the licence and for update emails. Deleted on request.
An order keeps what Stripe, the merchant of record, sends us: your name, email, the amount and its own reference numbers, plus the order number, the licence and any refund note, for as long as French accounting law asks. Card details never reach us.
Writing to music press and musicians. idealism writes about hetki to music writers and to musicians who publish an address for business enquiries. We keep the outlet or channel name, that published address, where it was found, when we wrote and any reply, for 12 months after the last message, and a short list of addresses that asked us not to write again, so that we never do. This rests on our legitimate interest in telling people who work in music about a new instrument. Reply, or write to contact@idealism.co, and we stop.
Links that pay a commission. If you share hetki with your own link, we keep your name, your PayPal address, and the number and dates of sales through your link, for as long as French accounting law asks. Payments go through PayPal. We never tell you who bought.
Sending a licence again from the support page uses the address you type only to look for a licence and send it there. To stop the form being used to fill someone's inbox, the site counts how often it is used, by connection and by a scrambled form of the address. The counts expire after a day.
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, ask us to limit its use or object to it, take a copy with you, take back a consent at any time (what was done before stays lawful), or complain to the CNIL at cnil.fr.
